The short version
NightCouncil the software is self-hosted and open source. Your source code, model API keys, and council conversations stay on your own infrastructure — this website never sees them. The only data we collect is what you voluntarily provide on this site.
What this website collects
- Registration details you submit: name, email, and optionally company, role, primary use, and referral source.
- If you sign in with GitHub or Google SSO: your email, display name, and avatar from that provider.
- Standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and reliability.
What we do with it
We use registration data to create your account, send product updates only if you opted in, and understand how people use the project. We do not sell your data.
What the software collects
Nothing is sent to us. The engine runs against your own encrypted vault, using model API keys you provide, and reads the repositories you connect. Calls go directly from your machine to the model providers you choose.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time and request deletion of your registration data by contacting us through the project repository.
